My name is Jonathan, I was born and raised in a Christian home. After a lifetime involved with the local church with nearly forty years of leadership experience, pastoring a local church, church-planting overseas as well as working in charitable, educational and secular organisations, I have one simple aim, to share some of what I have learned along the way in the hope that I can help you as you serve Jesus, between the trees!
I am passionate about the church. In an often crazy, and increasingly complex world, I would love the opportunity to journey with you and help you thrive in whatever leadership responsibility you have.
My wife, Alison, and I are part of the Leadership Team of Echo Church, based in Newham. This is a church planting initiative seeking to reach people in this diverse London borough.
Meet Jonathan
Our home sits between two trees—not as grand as it may sound, but they are a helpful guide for visitors. But the thought struck me that this image of two trees holds a deeper meaning; that we all live 'between two trees'. The Tree of the Fall (our past struggle) and the Tree of Life (our future hope).
This space in between is where our life and purpose are worked out. 'Between Two Trees' is about how we follow Jesus living with the weight of the human condition but the hope of a promised, eternal destiny'
